Human Centric Lighting

Stylish atmosphere with a feel-good factor

Light can have an activating or relaxing effect. Most importantly, however, the right light supports our well-being. Human Centric Lighting allows you to adjust the lighting mood to suit any occasion. For example, the breakfast room of a hotel can be transformed into a cosy lounge at the touch of a button in the evening.

Premium lighting for stylish locations

Our Human Centric Lighting solutions effortlessly balance bright, cooler light with dimmed, warmer light. Perfectly coordinated Tunable White LED modules and drivers enable luminaires to deliver exceptionally stable light and colour. Combined with modern lighting controls, the ambience of a room can be easily adjusted at any time.

This makes our Human Centric Lighting systems ideal for use in the hotel and catering industry. For example, service staff can easily adjust the lighting mood at any time, even without technical expertise, creating a pleasant ambience for their guests.

An elegant solution: breakfast room and bar in one

Luminaires with our Tunable White technology can produce any light colour within the spectrum from 2700 to 6500 Kelvin. An exceptionally wide dimming range of 3 to 100 per cent offers greater design flexibility, along with excellent potential for energy and cost savings. Thanks to lighting controls based on basicDIM Wireless, operation is effortless: the colour temperature and light intensity can be adjusted as needed or set using preprogrammed light scenes. This allows service staff to change the settings easily and intuitively via the app.

Daytime lighting: stimulating neutral white light

Round pendant luminaires and wallwashers with neutral white light (4500 K) combine with the daylight to create the perfect lighting for reading the newspaper in the morning, checking your emails over a cappuccino or the first meeting of the day. The tracklights near the windows are dimmed to 10 per cent, those near the bar to 80 per cent. The bar area is also illuminated with neutral white light.

After-work atmosphere with dimmed lighting

The tracklights are dimmed to 10 per cent to ensure soft ambient lighting. Pendant luminaires and wallwashers bathe the room in cosy, warm light (2700 K) and create a relaxed atmosphere. In the bar area, bottles and glasses take centre stage thanks to our SLE Gold LED modules.

Optimal interaction of light colour and luminous intensity

Our Tunable White technology allows light colour and luminous intensity to be controlled independently of each other, for the perfect experience of light.

The standard ON/OFF luminaire has a compact flexC driver and automatically switches the light on and off as required.

Perfectly tailored premium technology

Our Human Centric Lighting solutions illuminate spaces with an unparalleled quality of light. They achieve this through smart 2-channel technology: LED modules equipped with both cool white and warm white LEDs are controlled using 2-channel drivers. This allows the colour temperature and light intensity to be adjusted independently. During calibration, modules and drivers are fine-tuned to ensure no colour shift. Even if multiple luminaires are used in the same room, this guarantees consistent colour throughout.

Our Tunable White LED modules also feature a high level of efficacy of up to 197 lm/W with 6500 Kelvin, high colour rendering Ra > 90 and high colour homogeneity (MacAdam 3). The LED drivers for Tunable White applications enable efficiency of up to 89 per cent.

Full flexibility thanks to wireless lighting controls

Human centric lighting applications are able to reach their full potential when combined with a suitable smart control solution. basicDIM Wireless is a wireless lighting control system, which can be used both to control the luminaires manually and to automate the lighting.

The extensive portfolio of components and apps leaves nothing to be desired: the lighting can be controlled manually via wall switches or app on a control unit (tablet, smartphone). However, using predefined light profiles and light scenes, the lighting controls can also easily be automated – depending on the time of day, for example. In addition, the use of sensors means daylight conditions or the movement of people can be automatically taken into account by the lighting controls.
